Our work

How we have been helping people get stuff done.

The way we work with our customers has been honed over years of working in local public services. It focus on four main activities: assessment, strategy, implementation, and learning.

Some organisations like us to take them through the whole process from beginning to end, while others have something more specific in mind. Either is good with us: just get in touch to discuss your needs with us!

Assessment

We have developed a bespoke digital quality model to help councils and other organisations involved in local public service delivery. It measures across 10 different dimensions using 5 levels of quality.

The assessment process involves document reviews, stakeholder interviews, and workshops with teams. It results in a report outlining the current state, a recommended ambition for the future, and some suggested steps to get you there.

Anyone can access and use the model for themselves, but if you would like support in doing so, we are here to help!

Strategy

Our strategy framework is designed to put the right information in the right documents to make change happen:

  • The strategy answers the question ‘why?’
  • Blueprints  answer the question ‘what?’
  • Playbooks answer the question ‘how?’
  • Roadmaps answer the ‘when?’

We brought Dave into Hart to help with the design of our new Digital Strategy. He did a smashing job in our discovery phase, engaging with a range of staff to pull together an excellent draft strategy.

Implementation

Implementing strategic change is really difficult. There are a lot of different things that must be aligned to make it happen, and we have plenty of experience of successfully putting those things together. These include:

  • Restructures
  • Programmes of work
  • Business cases
  • Culture change

Learning

Learning and development is key to any kind of change embedding itself successfully. We provide a whole range of learning and development programmes, delivered face to face or online, at a range of levels and price points – including free!

We design engaging learning opportunities for specific groups – leaders, digital specialists, teams, non-digital folk, and so on – on a whole range of topics – such as user centred design, online experience, implementing agile delivery, and a whole host of other things.
