About us

What we do, why we do it, and who we are.

Dave BriggsLocalise is a small agency, helping local public service organisations deliver people-centred, digitally-enabled change. We are led by Dave Briggs, an experienced and well-regarded voice in local government digital, data and IT.

Dave has a perfect, rare blend of transformational vision, pragmatism, and a deep and broad knowledge of the local government technology landscape. He also knows how to build and lead high-functioning teams and disseminate digital learning throughout the organisation.

Neil Williams, Exec Director of Technology & Digital Transformation at the BFI

What we do

We work with all sorts of organisations working for the public good, to help them figure out how they need to change to meet the needs of their people in the internet age.

We recognise the importance of local context, whilst also doing everything we can to avoid wheel-reinvention. We’ve developed models to help figure out where value is really added, and where change is unlikely to affect outcomes all that much.

Our approach sets out the way we like to do things. You can work with us on just one element, or on a whole programme of work. We’re pretty flexible to fit in with what you need, but will probably challenge you a bit as well – in a friendly way.

Core team

Dave

Dave Briggs

Hello, I’m Dave, and I started Localise (under another name) in 2021, having spent my career working in change, digital, and IT roles across the public sector. I’m deeply sceptical about the ability of technology to improve anything.

Tracy

Tracy keeps the Localise show on the road, being on top of all the financials, company administration, and provides a standard of common sense that is mostly lacking from the other two team members.

Merlin

Merl the dog

Merlin is the goodest of  good boys. He mostly concentrates on capturing and chewing socks, yawning, and going for walks. He is also probably the team member most likely to lick you on a first meeting.
